STIHL protective clothing can be washed at 60°C. This is important not only for reasons of hygiene, but also for removing stubborn resin stains. 

Specially designed outer fabric offers high comfort, with soft cotton on the inside and robust nylon on the outside. The material keeps out wind and allows rain to roll off. Ideal for the winter season.

At least 1/3 high-visibility orange ensures better visibility and avoids accidents in poor visibility conditions.

The backs of the trousers are made of elasticated material for optimum freedom of movement.

The body always feels comfortable and dry thanks to water-repellent material on the inside and water-absorbing material on the outside.

A very lightweight outer fabric is achieved through the use of special functional fibres, to offer enhanced wearing comfort and less fatigue.

Clothing complies with EN ISO 20471. There are 3 classes, with class 3 offering the best protection. The classifications are determined from the defined area of the high-visibility orange component and reflective strips. At STIHL, class 3 is achieved by combining high-visibility trousers and jackets that are each high-visibility class 2.

The patented “HS leg protection” hedge trimmer protection can be inserted into the inner pocket and offers protection in the thigh and knee area against pricking and pinching injuries from the hedge trimmer.

The patented “FS leg protection” impact guard can be inserted into the inner pocket. The special material structure is breathable and distributes impact across the material surface. Impact from objects propelled at speeds over 500 km/h is absorbed.

In STIHL clearing saw trousers, the entire front leg area is protected with a special material to cushion the impact of flying debris.

Both a standard knee pad and the STIHL knee pad can be inserted into a pocket to protect the knee, for example when gardening, laying tiles, or spending time in the workshop.

Highly robust material prevents injuries and thread pulls caused by thorns.

The highly breathable tick protection connects trousers and shoes, to prevent ticks penetrating the clothing.

Robust material prevents abrasion in areas subject to particular wear.

Ran protection provides protection against rain and wind when working outdoors, and is comfortable to wear because the material allows evaporated sweat to pass through it. EN 343 specifies these two parameters as water resistance (top number) and water vapour permeability (bottom number). The determined values are divided into 3 performance levels, with class 3 offering the highest performance.
